Thanks to its scenic lakes, which are the central attraction for the DAR State Forest and for private cottage areas, Goshen has been a vacation area for more than 100 years. Legend has it that Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor spent some time in one of the lakeside cottages during the filming of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
